International Sales Manager (Medical Research / Academic Collaboration)
Nightingale Health has created a novel blood test that powers a new era in preventive healthcare. Our solution provides risk detection for multiple chronic diseases from a single blood sample. With every sample, we help build better healthcare for everyone.
To achieve this mission, our Research Sales team brings our proprietary technology to leading institutions worldwide. We provide the tools that enable the scientific community to unlock new insights into human health.
Nightingale Health's Research Multiomics Hub brings together a novel multiomics service, combining our proprietary CoreMetabolomics platform with complementary proteomics solutions. Our metabolomics technology delivers high‑throughput, quantitative metabolic profiling from a single blood sample, while proteomics adds another layer of biological insight—together providing a comprehensive multiomic view to support deeper scientific understanding and clinical translation.
Nightingale Health operates globally, supporting partners across more than 30 countries.
We are looking for an independent and science-driven International Sales Manager in Medical Research to join our Research Business team in Helsinki, Finland.
The Research Sales team offers Nightingale Health’s in-house developed blood analysis service to our existing and new customers in medical research. With a new addition of proteomics service, we are now proud to be offering multiomics solutions to help our customers with their cutting-edge research projects.
We have been serving medical research universities and institutions for over a decade and have a solid global customer reference base for our end-to-end service. From this starting point, your task would be to further scale our sales globally.
The position is full-time and based in Helsinki, Finland. Our customer base is global though, and we expect you to be ready to travel and be flexible working across different time zones.
Here are the challenges we have for you:
Prospecting for new research sales deals: Conduct targeted outreach by mapping potential customers through our existing database and desk research, identifying institutions where our technology can meaningfully support scientific discovery. This includes managing a high-volume early-stage pipeline, attending international conferences, and engaging potential customers in person. Effective prospecting means understanding the scientific problems they are trying to solve and recognizing where and how our solution can deliver value.
Building and pursuing sales cases: Once a prospect is validated, secure a meeting to assess the three core components of every deal: project size, scientific question, and funding. Determine how our solution aligns with their objectives by uncovering their scientific challenges. From there, clearly articulate the relevance and value of our solution, ensuring the customer sees a direct connection between their goals and what we can deliver.
Closing deals: Effectively bringing cases to completion.
Handover and follow-up: Transition closed deals to legal and delivery team, navigate internal and external stakeholders to bring projects to completion.
Account management: Stay engaged with clients as needed to ensure smooth project execution.
You are our perfect match if you ...
Have a master’s degree (or an equivalent) plus 2 years of relevant sales experience.
Have a sales background with proven accomplishments, and experience selling technical/complex solutions, ideally services to medical researchers internationally.
Read and understand scientific studies and papers.
Have a "hunter" mentality: focus on finding new deals and closing them, not just maintaining existing client relationships.
Are numbers-oriented: driven by measurable and achievable goals and willing to put in the effort to measure and improve.
Like to think outside of the box and do what it takes to reach and exceed goals.
Have excellent social, people, and communication skills. Excellent English both verbal and written is required. Other languages are considered a plus.
Are an ambitious person with an entrepreneurial mindset who loves to sell.
Have time for work-related travel and flexibility to accommodate different time zones, including Pacific Time.
These will help you to succeed in this role:
Understanding of solution selling.
Life Science background.
Understanding metabolomics, physiology, and how human body works.
Understanding proteomics.
Why you’ll love working at Nightingale Health (What we offer):
Meaningful, pioneering work that offers you the opportunity to constantly develop your skills.
A unique opportunity to work in an international and multidisciplinary team of scientists, developers, designers, and biotech business experts.
Responsibility and independence as an accountable member of our Research Business team.
